NDSU Student Government records, 1968-2006.

The NDSU Student Government Records includes documents collected and produced by the Student Senate from 1968 through the spring of 2006; however, the bulk of the material derives from the 1980s and 1990s. These records have been arranged into six major series: Student Senate Organizational Documents Series, Student Senate Commissions and Committees Series, Student Senate Meeting Documents Series, University Senate Series, Subject Files Series, Scrapbook Series. The creation of the first four series, especially the Student Senate Meeting Documents Series, deviates somewhat from the original order of the records. When these records came into University Archives possession, they were in several binders used by individual Student Senators and they contained multiple copies of the documents. These binders were disassembled, the documents compared and at least one copy of each document was retained. In some cases, multiple copies of a document were retained if there were significant handwritten notes or other alterations on them. The overall organization reflects the organization of these binders.
